The Sculpture Garden and Odesa Courtyard form a single open-air exhibition in the Odesa Literary Museum's courtyard. The Sculpture Garden was founded in 1995: seventeen humorous sculptural compositions dedicated to writers, literary characters, and figures from Odesa's urban folklore — Rabinovich, the "Denim Duke," Ilf and Petrov, and others — plus a standing exhibit of ancient Scythian and Cuman stone sculptures on loan from the Odesa Archaeological Museum. The garden flows into "Odesa Courtyard," which has recreated a typical Odesa courtyard since 2014: a monument to the courtyard water tap, a courtyard well, a dovecote, city lanterns bearing the historic names of old Odesa's districts, and a caretaker's bell. Both projects were created by Leonid Liptuha, an honored culture worker of Ukraine.
