Vision Passport: comprehensive Check-Up
Request a consultationThe Vision Passport is an extended ophthalmic examination that combines comprehensive vision diagnostics, OCT of both eyes, visual field testing, a full dry eye assessment and additional tests where indicated. It helps assess the condition of your eyes, find the causes of visual discomfort and build a personal monitoring plan. The result is an individual Vision Passport: test results, the ophthalmologist's conclusion and recommendations in one document, which you can use to compare readings at later visits.
When it's recommended
- You want an extended check of your eyes and baseline data for future monitoring.
- Long hours at a computer, dryness, burning, a gritty feeling or unstable clarity of vision.
- Contact lenses have become less comfortable, or your eyes tire by the end of the day.
- Risk factors for retinal or optic nerve disease, such as diabetes or a family history of glaucoma.
- You need your eyes assessed before discussing vision correction or surgery.
Treatment stages
Comprehensive vision diagnostics
The clinic's full base program: visual acuity, autorefractometry, intraocular pressure, biomicroscopy and a fundus exam.
OCT of both eyes
Optical coherence tomography of the macula and optic nerve structures, with the doctor's conclusion.
Full dry eye assessment
Examination of the lids, cornea and conjunctiva, lipid layer assessment on the IDRA system, tear film break-up time (NIBUT), meibography and tear meniscus height. Where indicated: Schirmer test and ocular surface staining.
Visual fields of both eyes
Computerized perimetry assesses the visual field and helps find areas of reduced light sensitivity.
Final consultation and the Vision Passport
The doctor explains the results and writes a conclusion, recommendations and a monitoring schedule. The Passport includes the main readings, test protocols and the OCT and IDRA images.
Benefits
In-depth diagnostics
The base exam is supplemented with layered imaging of both eyes and an assessment of the tear film and meibomian glands.
Attention to quality of vision
The program looks beyond visual acuity to the ocular surface, which affects comfort, image clarity and tolerance of contact lenses.
Results to track over time
Readings, images and recommendations form a personal baseline for later visits and for assessing change over time.
Timeline
The duration is confirmed at booking, depending on any additional tests. Bring previous ophthalmic reports, your glasses and a list of medicines and drops. Agree the rules for contact lenses and drops before the tear film tests with the clinic, and do not stop prescribed medicines on your own. After pupil dilation, do not plan to drive until your vision is clear again.

Additional services
What your Vision Passport contains
The examination date and main complaints. Visual acuity and correction values for the right and left eye. Intraocular pressure and the main examination results. OCT and perimetry protocols and the dry eye results. The ophthalmologist's conclusion, recommendations and a follow-up plan. The document is meant for keeping results and comparing them over time; its scope depends on the tests actually done, and treatment decisions are made at the consultation.
How the Passport differs from the basic exam
Comprehensive diagnostics gives a first assessment of visual function and eye condition. The Passport adds layered imaging of eye structures (OCT), a functional assessment of the visual fields and a study of the ocular surface. OCT does not replace examining the periphery of the retina. The perimetry result depends on the patient's attention, and if a test is not reliable enough the doctor may recommend repeating it.
Common questions
- Is dry eye treatment included in the 4,300 UAH?
- The package includes diagnostics and recommendations. Treatment procedures, medicines and care products are paid separately.
- Does the program replace pre-operative preparation?
- Before surgery, special measurements, an IOL or laser program calculation, tests and consultations may be needed. The clinic decides what they include depending on the procedure.
